Hacks for a Soothing Summer
Summer heat is unforgiving. Here are some tried and tested summer hacks for staying cool without craving an air conditioner.
1) Hydrate well
Body loses water due to excessive perspiration. Dehydration leads to an imbalance in body salts and accumulation of toxins. Drinking enough water helps in maintaining blood pressure, assists osmoregulation and flushes toxins.
2) Shift to cotton wear
Be it your bedsheets or clothes, prefer cotton over fabrics like silk, satin, polyester, and other synthetic materials as cotton is more breathable and absorbent. In addition to choosing breathable fabrics, opt for light shades of colors as they will not absorb heat.
3) Cross ventilate
